Pete had been working in the sales end of the commercial laundry and dishwashing business with a large company, but agonized over what he saw – an emphasis on national accounts to the detriment of local customer service within his industry.
When a corporate downsize caused him to lose his job over 20 years ago, Pete made the decision to see if he could create a more customer-oriented business.
Pete came home to inform his startled wife and infant son that they were going into business for themselves.
With a handful of customers and a giant leap of faith, Pete began building Owens Distributors.
